- In a mud pool at the sea salt mines near Bourgas, Bulgaria locals gather. He applies the mud from the pool and then stands upright until it is dry only to take a dip in the nearby sea. Afterwards he gets a relaxing swim in the 30cm of water in the salt mine (80-90% pure salt)

- In the holy Hindu city of Varanasi, groups of women gather in the mornings at Dasaswamedh Ghat, alongside the Ganges, to talk, sing, pray, and make offerings. This group was shot from above on the balcony of a small temple.

- While waiting for my train at a Metro station in Paris, on the opposite track another train stopped and I was lucky to find myself equipped with my camera and right in front of this window. I had just 20 seconds to catch the scene while I was struck by the mixed feelings that arose from the lady expression. Once I downloaded the picture on my computer I realized how the scene seemed perfectly staged.

- While strolling around a temple in Bagan, I came across what appears to be a 3 generation unit. I was drawn to the colorful little girl, of course, but to the eldest woman selling hand-rolled cigars as well. Seeing this unit together appearing relaxed with an inner contentedness I couldn't help reflecting on the deep funk and angst so many seem to be feeling in other parts of the (advanced) world.
