- Flat ocean in Makassar, Sulawesi, Indonesia
- field_caption
- Just before a huge monsoon downpour, the ocean became flat as I have never seen before. It was drizzling a bit, people were on their way to their house, when I walked up this pier. The light rain made the pier mirror-like, and the ocean was so calm. On the horizon are the islands just in front of Makassar, part of that special islands of Sulawesi.

- Walking on the Ghats(Steep steps on the banks of the river Ganges)in a city which is older than history I noticed this Pundit opening the small temple.I just loved the composition of the picture with the clothes in the fore ground and the Goat and rooster in the frame. Truly takes one back in time.

- christmas in paraguay
- field_caption
- A selection of Christian religious figures, on display and for sale at a major road intersection in Cnel. Oviedo. Those figures, reminding of the biblical story and the approaching christmas time, seemed strangely alive on this noisy and somewhat dangerous intersection at dusk. They appeared to be a procession that travelled in time, like a remainder of peace and love in this otherwise rather impoverished and crime ridden country of Paraguay.

- Pyongyang Rush hour
- field_caption
- A morning in the center of Pyongyang. People walking to work without the buzz and noise usually generated by vehicle traffic in big cities elsewhere in the world. People are encouraged to walk and make the best exercise out of an insufficient and run down public transport system. Yet the faces and gestures of the people seem happy and proud, chattering and joking as they walk along. No mobile phone substitutes for the need to communicate and interact, no pretentious fashion or fancy gadget is placed between the uniform equality of people on their way to work.
