- Tadami-Sen is a railway line that winds through the mountains in Aizu area, western part of Fukushima Japan. Unlike other train lines in Japan, this local train line only has a total of 3 train timings in either direction. Due to the many curves on the line, trains take over 4 hours to traverse its 135.2km length. Christmas 2010 saw one of the highest levels of snow ever recorded in Fukushima prefecture and thick snow often disrupted this train service. It's only in Januaury 2011 that I manage to photograph this heavily covered snow scene of a train crossing one of the bridges.

- A temple built to server the Goddess of the Lake, I experienced a brief moment of piety when the sunset bounced off the backdrop of the clouds.

- This is taken in the early morning as the mist rises across Inle Lake. A lone fisherman appears through the mist. The cone basket he has is a traditional net used on the lake.

- I had to be quick to snap this one in Nara Deer Park, Nara, Japan. I guess she was trying to figure out why she couldn't see much through the lens. I showed her the picture afterwards and she had a laugh
