Sergeant Scudder, who has served three tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq and is a member of the Honor Guard, salutes Sergeant Gideon ("Gil") Rabin, who is laid to his final rest here on August 7, 2012 and had fought in the battles of Guam, Okinawa, and Leyte Gulf in World War II, and was awarded the Bronze Star in 1945. Gideon Rabin was my father.
