These Lavender Fields are located just north of Mt. Shasta and have a very short blooming season of about 4 to 6 weeks in July before they are harvested. The rugged drive was well worth the view of Mt. Shasta dressed in a bounty of lavender beneath it. The family owned business created a peaceful setting for visitors to enjoy of a maze encircling this unique rock in the photo. The unusual perspective gave the mountain a sense of smallness compared to the rock.

Location: Mt. Shasta, Northern California, United States
