Hummingbird Moth

I was gardening and saw this creature rapidly flying from flower to flower. I ran into the house and grabbed my Nikon D7000. Luckily this insect was still enjoying the nectar from my flowers. It would not stay still but for a second. I had no idea what this insect was since I never saw one before. It didn’t have a beak so I knew it was not a hummingbird, the wings are transparent so it was not a butterfly. Moths come out at night, so what is this interesting insect? The Internet gave me my answer: a hummingbird moth. It is one of a few moths that come out during the day.
