Release of the Monarch Butterfly

Four year old Aidan releases a Monarch Butterfly at an Indiana state botanical preserve. Aidan raised the Monarch butterfly with the help of his parents from a tiny caterpillar through the chrysalis and emerging stages. Seconds after this photo was taken, the butterfly flew high into the air and headed out into the field full of wild, nectar-rich plants.
