Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park

I took a boat cruise across Waterton Lake, Canada. A storm caught us off guard. Then, just as we we approached the 49th parallel north the rain stopped, the skies opened up, and the sunshine poured in- directly over the eastern shore clear cutting which maintains the marker points between Glacier National Park in the US and Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada. A rainbow burst over the border, connecting the two parks. Very apropos as, together, the parks are designated Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park in celebration of the longstanding peace & friendship between the two nations.
