Category: Nature

Photo and caption by Sam Norman

A Hognose snake on the side of the road making its way to find prey. This is a Western Hognose. Markings are similar to Rattlesnake. When approached this snake coiled like a Rattler but quickly backed down when this photographer approached. They are not posionous to humans but rodents and frogs die when bitten by the Hognose snake.

Location: White River Lake, Texas
