Canadian Death Race Legend Dag Aabye

Every year in a remote corner of the Canadian Rockies, an extreme bunch of individials congregate to compete in a 125 km adventure race that begins and ends on a 4200 foot plateau, includes three mountain summits, 17,000 feet of elevation change and a river crossing. While waiting at one of the transition points, a tall, grizzly looking runner came into view and on a whim I snapped 2 pictures. I later discovered the man whose raw determination I captured was none other than race legend Dag Aabye--the oldest man at 71 to complete the race and an inspiration to all who meet him.
