A young Plains Zebra foal searches for the nourishment of its mother's milk. I wanted to capture the moment without going for the cliche'd frame of the baby and mother. When the foal went around her back to come in from behind, I framed tight and waited for this moment. It was always going to be a black-and-white presentation, due to the graphical element of the mother's hide.
