While on a humanitarian expedition to Peru this year, my daughter Ashlin got to visit Machu Picchu during the winter solstice. She took this picture of the Peruvian Andes through the foliage while climbing Wayna Picchu, catching the morning rays of the winter solstice, one of the most sacred days for the Incans.
