This photo was taken in Parc National des Volcans in Rwanda. We had a long trek to find the Hirwa group and they were sitting on a steep slope for most of the hour that we had with them. Eventually, just as our hour was coming to an end, they headed from the slope down into a ravine with a dried up river bed and then just as we were leaving the group the mom and her twins came out of the jungle and walked right past us up the river bed making for one last breath taking moment before we had to make the journey back into civilization.
