Picture was taken at Vanderveer Botanical Park in Davenport Iowa during spring bloom in mid-May. As the duck collected food from under the surface, he would return to the surface and then ruffle his feathers to remove excess water. After observing this, I saw the beauty of the duck while his wings were outspread and I awaited the chance to take advantage of the opportunity to capture this action mid-shake to create the perfect shot to portray said beauty.
