Death Valley Sunrise

I shot this photograph in early August of this year in Death Valley. I hiked a mile out before sunrise with a hiking lamp and waited for the sun on the sand dunes. It was a beautiful morning but within an hour as the sun hit the dunes the temperature climbed to 110 degrees. There is a reason they call it Death Valley.
