I traveled to Thailand in January 2009 to teach a ocean satellite remote sensing training class to some Thai scientists in Marine Information Sub-Division within the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency. I taught the class pro-bono and as one of many ways of thanking me, my students took me to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market about 1.5 hours from Bangkok where I captured this memorable image. Too bad I could not also record the wonder smells of this place.
