Sparklers are handed out at the entrance to Film Night to light when a good scene is playing. I lost mine, so when Johnny and Baby kissed for the first time in Dirty Dancing, I picked up my camera instead. It was wonderful to watch an American classic for the first time, dubbed in German and surround by hundreds of people who knew it by heart, all on the banks of the Elbe with a stunning view of Altstadt, the rebuilt heart of Dresden.
