This was on my 4th visit to Red Rock Canyon, about 30 miles West of the Las Vegas Strip. One of the best reasons to travel to Nevada. During this trek, my wife stayed on the trail above, but I want to see the gorgeous rocks up close. I'm capturing the textures is on the Northern part of the 15 mile drive through the park. From the road, you see a lot of red rocks together and a lot of sandy white rocks together. Hiking to this ravine, I went through an area with only brick red rocks and earth. I was amazed to find this area with red and white stripes-they went so nicely with the blue sky.

Location: Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Nevada
