As Darkness Falls

A group drive with the "Mainely Subaru" club, driving with my brother in his Impreza RS. Twenty or so drivers on a damp, late fall day, heading through the winding roads on route 26 out to Western Maine. What started in the morning on smooth pavement, ended at dusk by going off the trail and into the woods. On a dirt road leading to a camp ground, just as it became dark, I took this photo. The fog from the rainy day masked the cars in front and in back of us, and only a few tail lights could be seen up ahead as we trekked along in the woods at night, as it became more and more dark.

Location: Rangeley, Maine, USA
