Drosera Filiformis

Drosera Filiformis are Carnivorous Plants and are quite rare on Long Island, NY these days. They were once found much more often. These grow in a sandy swath on the edge of a bog at the bottom of large sand dunes near salt water. As the Sun was lowering in the sky when the day was coming to a close, the rays lit up the swath of these Sundews into a blazing and dramatic sight. Taken June, 2012 (the cameras settings are off a year) Part of Author's local exploration of Carnivorous Plants project.
Location: Near Montauk, Long Island, NY, USA
