While on a recent road trip to South Dakota, I made a point to get to Badlands National Park; a goal of mine for many years. I was pleasantly surprised to find there were many opportunities to hike off the paved paths. On one of them, I came across a small heard of deer mostly hiding in the bushes of a little grassy knoll. Patiently waiting very still and watching for a long time, I was rewarded when the couriosity of this beautiful Mule Deer doe got the best of her, and she stepped out of hiding. She trumps all my other photos.
