The Painted Hills, are located in the John Day Fossil Beds, approximately 38 miles north of Prineville, Oregon off Highway 26. This photo was captured at ISO 200, f/9 @1/125 of a second using a Nikkor 17-35 f/2.8 lens @ 17mm. A 2 stop Singh-Ray Hard ND filter was used to balance the sky.
