Orphan?

In the last six years, the number of orphanages in Cambodia has doubled. Three quarters of the children living in these orphanages are not orphans. Sadly, in Cambodia many of these orphanages are terribly mismanaged. In part, this growth of orphanages is due to 'voluntourism'. This boy was suffering gross neglect in a Cambodian Orphanage. Putting children into institutionalised care should be a last resort. Stay away from voluntourism and instead support community based project that help keep kids out of orphanages and with their families.
