The Housemate: Tegenaria domestica with an attitude

This house spider is a regular sighting in my house for a month now. He is so huge that it gives me shivers when I see him around. I have never observed a spider before so up close, so I patiently hoped that he would settle in my storage room so I could take a photo of him. The yellow wall gave an extra backlight, which highlighted the spider’s intriguing missing pair of legs. Despite the handicap, he looks healthy and stubborn, just staring back at me unperturbed of the flash. I feel that he is more at home than me because I am the one fidgety, who is always dreading for our next encounter.
