Killer in the Night

After we raced towards the chilling cry of the baboons, we caught a glimpse of a leopard lying on a tree limb 20 feet off the ground. It was not until our spotlight illuminated the leopard, that we could see it had made a kill. Several moments later the leopard sat up and turned towards us. Hanging from its mouth was the lifeless body of a baby baboon, whose blood was still dripping down to the hyena that was pacing below the tree.
