Fireflies in the Tatsuno town. The early 1900's, Tatsuno's nature was suitable for the generation of fireflies. However, from 1950’s, domestic wastewater and industrial wastewater and agricultural wastewater increases, gradually decreased the number of Firefly. Tatsuno town take measures to improve the habitat of fireflies and subjected to work to make clean water. As a result, fireflies were increased little by little, tatsuno town decided to make a creek that firefly can live in the fallow field. Through the efforts of many, in the Tatsuno town, now can see the fireflies as old time.
