Can you breathe underwater?

Whilst SCUBA diving is known to most as breathing underwater, not many truly take the time to consider the idea of that. Does the idea of strapping a tank to your back and breathing out of a hose for an hour or so make your heart sing or rather, take your breath away? It certainly does both for me. This diver seems to be managing his breathing just fine as he fins his way to the edge of the deep North Wall of Grand Cayman. The first rule of SCUBA diving is to never hold your breath… but the rule doesn’t say anything about having your breath taken away.
