Tsomoriri or Lake Moriri is a salt lake in the Changthang area, and is a High Altitude Lake at 4,595m (15,075 ft) in the Ladakh area of Northern India. This is the largest of the High Altitude Lakes in the Trans-Himalayan bio-geographic region in India. This lake is accessible only in the Summer. The lake is surrounded by the elevated valley of Rupshu with hills rising to 6,000 m (20,000 ft) and is home to many endangered birds such as Great Crested Grebe.
