Young spotted Hyenas at play

It was an unforgettable experience to watch a clan of spotted Hyenas at their den several times on three different days. The adults spent much effort in training their young, which themselves often provoked the adults to chase and run. This image shows two highly active young Hyenas about 7 months old at play that involved chasing along the perimeter of the den. These youngsters were inquisitive, exceedingly playful and very aware of everything that took place around them. They were attuned with the adults in that if an adult was attracted to something, they would gather to investigate.

Location: Timbavati connected to Kruger National park-South Africa
