Taiwan used to have the name of "Butterfly Kingdom"。 In this small island there are more than 400 species of butterfly. Unfortunately, in the 70's and 80's the numbers of butterfly was greatly reduced due to export and development. Nowadays, with conscious conservation, butterflies can be seen in the city and countryside. This Telicota bambusae horisha was found in a usual suburb butterfly viewing trip with a small group of butterfly lovers in the early autumn. It was enjoying the drink and didn't care about me crawling nearer and nearer and had my camera almost touched its face.
