This photo was taken at 1am in Hill City, South Dakota. I had been taking long exposure shots of the Milky Way on a beautiful clear night while camping. I stepped in front of the camera at the last few seconds of a 25 second exposure. I was illuminated by the distant camp fire just enough that I appeared in the shot. Camera: Canon 5D Mark ii Lens: Canon 24-70L ISO 5000, f/4, 25 Seconds.
