Serengeti Splendor

In an attempt to make the evening curfew in the Serengeti National Park, we were headed back to camp at a rather high speed, when, off to the right the blazing glow of the setting sun caught my attention. I turned to see the sun rapidly descending behind a lone acacia tree and was taken by it's intense beauty. Of course the curfew was momentarily forgotten as I grabbed for my nearest camera, which had a large telephoto lens attached and I hand held the camera and began shooting the incredibly beautiful scene. It was nothing short of a magical moment, one that will live forever in my memory.
