Hailing from Austria, Gunter was one of the first original extreme wreck divers to ever come to Utila, Honduras. I originally met him during the production of my MFA thesis in 2010/11, and we have reconnected during the last month while I was filming my Postcards from Utila documentary film on the island. Gunter frequently participates in triathlons in the region and knows the island - both on land, and underwater - like the back of his hand. He is also an incredibly talented artist; an avid writer; a passionate conservationist; and one of Utila's most charming characters.
