During our first Parents' Weekend at Syracuse University, my Husband, Chris, and Daughter, Amanda, Class of 2016, hiked around Green Lake in Fayetteville, New York. The Autumn weather was typical New England, cloudy with hazy sun. We gazed in wonder at the lake, watching the bright, orange, red and yellow floating autumn leaves, and the twisted, gnarly branches leaning into the water. With the changing light, and gentle breeze coming across the lake, we felt as if Mother Nature was proudly exhibiting “Her Autumn Watercolor Collection.”
