Two Ling Cod (Ophiodon elongatus) are pulled to the surface near the Northernly most point of the Haida Gwaii islands in British Columbia. Sadly, this photo is representative of sport fishing culture in British Columbia. The goal of 'sport fishing' is often catch as many of the biggest fish in the sea without understanding the ecological implications of doing so.
