"Eye Flamingo"

I took my relatives on a visit to the L.A. Zoo, during the late summer of 2010. At the Flamingo exhibit, I whistled at the closest Flamingo to get his/her attention. I tried several times to get a good picture. Every time, I raised my camera , the Flamingo would look away. It then became a game. Every time, I raised my camera the Flamingo looked else where. So I kept backing up each time to not pose as a threat. Each time I would whistle and raise the camera. Finally at about 30 feet away , I was no longer a threat and the Flamingo then stared me down. I got the picture.
