Here's a photo of a fire smoke hazy sunset west of Hygiene, Colorado taken this August. My wife and I were returning home from a horse show in Northern Colorado when I saw that the sunset would be beautiful, with the different ranges of foothills standing out from the angle of the sun. The Indian Peaks Wilderness area comprise the large peaks in the background. The bird of prey in the foreground had just taken off in flight, but I didn't even see it when I took the photo; only later at home on my computer!! Straight image, cropping only, no correction needed.
