Great Horned Owl Family

On a trip to The Pantanal in Brazil, I went to a place the tour guide suggested to see Great Horned Owls. There were at least three or four of them in a wooded area along the Transpantaneira Highway. A mother owl was giving her not so little chick a part of a rodent for dinner. This image of the owls was taken quite a distance from them so as not to disturb them. They seemed to notice we were there but were not frightened being so high in the tree.
