I have been following two pairs of Limpkin near my neighborhood for a long time. After a week of visiting this family before and after work, my patience paid off. One morning, shortly after this adult found a snail, instead of feeding the chick on the bank, it decided to bring the snail right in front of me. It was a cloudy day with dull light, I got on my belly, handholding the lens and anxiously waiting for this moment. Adult was looking head on while the chick was tossing the snail in mid air to position the snail so it could swallow it. I managed to snap a series of this behavior.
