We were having a program retreat at Lake Tahoe City and it was my first time there. Being at a party the night before meant it was a bit of a struggle to wake up early next morning. Nonetheless, I donned myself with minimum effort, grabbed my tripod and camera and headed to the lake. The air was chill, but fresh, and there was plenty bird chirping. I somehow got on a jetty on a privately owned beach, knowing that no land owners wake up that early in the morning. Just before the sun broke out, I aimed my camera towards the bleeding sky, and exposed the photo for 24 seconds. I was in heaven.
