Are you looking at ...Me?

Red Horn Bill busy collecting food for his young. They had hatched a week earlier. While I was sitting on my veranda he landed in a Cape Coast Kippersol Tree, close by. Turning his head. He looked at me with those beady eyes as if to say "YOUR holding up a good worker Mate,"and flew off with a bug in his beak. The pair of horn bills were extreemly affectionate. They made a kok kok sound and a type of buzzing when they got close to or near the nest, it seemed as if they were talking to their young. Both birds gave the impression that they were outstanding parents working together to feed.

Location: On a game lodge north of Pretoria, Gauteng South Africa. Sandalwood lodge.
