A Blast of Light

Past midnight, chasing the lights all week as their movements changed and patterns shifted. Then suddenly the dark sky was entirely illuminated from horizon to horizon and the lights danced in a colourful wave. It moved like water and I thought for a moment I was floating. Incredibly beautiful.
