The woman, in the process of receiving a tattoo of a hamsa inspired by her jewish upbringing. The name “hamsa” comes from the Hebrew word “hamesh" meaning five, this refers to the five fingers on the talisman.The hand symbolizes a protector from the eye of evil, other objects of good fortune are also commonly placed within the hand.
