Walking ahead, walking towards the mist. Afghanistan

I closely followed those two Afghans as they walked ahead, and felt that this resembles a move towards uncertainty they face. Somewhere in the mist, with prayer beads in hands, on ground soften by rain. Perhaps, I thought, this is the essence of one's travel. There is nothing around, not even some grass. Just earth, all around, for miles and miles, yet what you see is a mere hundred meters. I took this photograph in rural areas of Northern Afghanistan, away from a paved road, away from an urban center, since it is there where most of Afghanistan is.
