Chissindo is one of the most remote places on earth, still, government and international help has had certain influences. Not all help, however, is used as we imagined it will be. Instead of protecting from AIDS, this condom is used as a balloon by this child- one of the only toys the child will ever have. In one village I passed through, children have learned that stranges bring balloons- and beg not for money, but for "ballooooneeeeess".
