Standing Proud

On an April morning, I was sitting atop a boulder at Smith Rock State Park and taking photos of climbers with my 70-350mm telephoto lens. As luck had it, this majestic bald eagle decided to perch on a bolder about 50 feet away from me! With the correct lense already on the camera, I was able to click off about ten shots before he spread his wings and soared away. This particular photo was taken in full manual mode and I captured this image at F/5.6, 1/1600 of a second, 350mm zoom.
