Nunc Fluens

For months I drove past this scene in light, dusk, and darkness upon my return home after working on top of the very mountains in this picture, never having taken a photograph from this spot that resided only a minute from my doorstep. But with the perfect puddle and a glare from the setting sun, I slammed on my breaks, left my car in the middle of the residential road, and did what any other photographer would do: captured a rare moment in a spectacular place. The title of this photo, "Nunc fluens", is Latin for the "moving present". It's what these photographic moments are all about.
