Butterfly Koi

When my brown 3" department store Butterfly Koi transformed into such a beautiful fish- I became determined to get some good pictures of her before she outgrew her kitchen counter tank and be moved to a pond. Armed with an old 1Mega Pixel camera and no photography experience- I put up a piece of dark cloth behind the tank and stared taking pictures using every auto setting there was. After 2 years and over 7,000 frames- one of the settings finally worked. I finally succeeded in capturing the perfect pose. She was 14" long in the photograph above. I donated her to a pond a few weeks later.
