A precarious stone walkway at 10,500 feet marks the beginning of the descent for hundreds of rural villagers as they make their way to the Saturday Market in Lalibela, Ethiopia. The early morning sun had just begun to cut through the mist and clouds as these white robed figures filed across the ledge, unconcerned by the sheer drops on either side.
