Emergency Call

Category: Nature

This is a very important picture, which I hope it will serve to transmit an emergency message. The problem of climate change, the lack of interest of the world population in protecting the environment through concrete actions, the consumerism, are destroying literally our world. Rivers like this, carry tons of garbage daily to the sea and nobody does anything. Trash is carried by sea currents to neighboring countries of Belize and Honduras. It threatens the health of many animal species and affects ecosystems balance, including coral reefs, as you can see this seagull calling for help.

Location: Izabal, Guatemala, where the Motagua River meets the Caribbean Ocean
